The position is for a fixed term of two years and full time with 39 h/week.
This position is only filled locally in Germany. With contractual conditions of the respective country. An expatriation is not intended.
These are your responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate humanitarian projects in Ukraine and other relevant contexts, including both donor-funded (GFFO, BMZ, ECHO, AICS) and own-financed initiatives
- Ensure compliant project implementation; monitor reporting and train partners in the application of relevant guidelines
- Manage the Ukraine partner portfolio and accompany partners through strengthening processes
- Conduct regular monitoring visits in Ukraine
- Support internal/external communication and visibility of project work
- Cooperate with other CBM teams to ensure implementation and administration of the managed projects and processes
- Assist in set up the CBM Ukraine Country Office by supporting administrative and coordination tasks in collaboration with the future country team
- Support the development of a CBM strategy for Ukraine
- Represent CBM in relevant working groups, networks and at events
These are your qualifications
- Completed studies/university degree in relevant subject area
- Several years of experience in coordinating and managing complex third-party funded projects and in dealing with public donors (mainly GFFO, BMZ, ECHO)
- Fluent in German and English and/or Ukrainian, other language skills is an advantage
- Relevant practical expertise in humanitarian aid and in fragile countries and contexts
- Experience in the inclusion of people with disabilities is an advantage
- Willingness to travel to Ukraine
- Intercultural competence
- Identification with the Christian values and mandate of CBM
