The position is a  position with  40 h/week.

This position is only filled locally. With contractual conditions of the DRC country. An expatriation is not intended.

These are your responsibilities

1.     Birches Thumbnail 
 
The NTD  Programme Officer will work closely with the coordination of the NTDs-Programme of CBM in all strategic and operational activities related to the implementation of the fight against NTDs. He/she will assist in monitoring the activities implemented within the framework of the NTDs, ensuring compliance with the NTD control guidelines in accordance with CBM's procedures and requirements 
 
2.     Core Purpose:

The Programme Officer (NTD) plays a key role in supporting the Programme Coordinator (who holds overall accountability for projects) by ensuring effective implementation management, compliance, and capacity building across CBM’s partner portfolio. The position focuses on project oversight, risk management, financial monitoring and reporting, as well as the implementation of CBM’s policies throughout the project cycle. Additionally, the role contributes to strengthening implementation systems and practices in alignment with donor requirements and local regulations.
 
3.     Main Tasks 
 
Project Development :
  • Develop and/ or review project cycle at the planning stage, focusing on overall compliance with donors and local regulations for swift implementation.
  • Collaborate with and support the Partner Portfolio team in planning and conducting partner assessments and addressing identified gaps related to the project implementation.
 
Project Accounting & Financial Monitoring
 
In collaboration with the Programme finance team, provide accounting assistance and ensure accurate financial tracking for the NTD project.
  • Contribute to the preparation of periodic technical and financial reports, ensuring transparent documentation of fund utilization.
  • Ensure compliance and accuracy of financial and technical records in line with donor and organizational requirements.
Technical Monitoring & Reporting
  • Monitor, analyze, and validate technical reports on NTD control activities at both Central and Provincial levels.
  • Collect, consolidate, and review activity reports from provincial coordination teams.
  • Assist in drafting high-quality technical reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update project data in CBM’s PROMIS tracking system, ensuring real-time accuracy.
Documentation & Knowledge Management
 
  • Organize, archive, and manage project documents in accordance with CBM’s standards in PROMIS.
  • Ensure all records are audit-ready and accessible for reporting purposes.
Capacity Building & Technical Support
 
  • Provide technical supervision and support for capacity-building initiatives for project staff and implementing partners.
  • Participate in professional meetings and training sessions for Ministry of Health (MoH) staff at central and provincial levels on NTD Program Management (NTD-CTP).
 
Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement
 
  • Facilitate liaison between CBM and the Ministry of Health to ensure alignment in NTD control activities.
  • Ensure CBM’s operational procedures and donor requirements are met in project implementation.
  • Proactively identify and address challenges in program execution.
 
Additional Duties
 
Support other administrative tasks as assigned, based on program needs or emerging funding opportunities.

These are your qualifications

Qualifications  and others requirements :
  • Background in Public Health
  • Professional experience in public health project management is an asset. 
  • An excellent understanding of CBM's values. 
  • Knowledge of office tools (Excel, accounting software). 
  • Organization, rigor, and ability to meet deadlines. 
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively. 
  • Sensitivity to public health issue
  • Active participation in assigned tasks. 
  • Commitment to the project's objectives. 
  • Integrity in completing tasks, adhering to the organization's values and principles with transparency and accountability, free from personal interests or external pressures. 
  • Effective communication skills to establish strong relationships, resolve conflicts, collaborate efficiently, and convey clear and understandable messages.
