To expand our Programme Developpement and Implementation Team, We are looking for a Monitoring,Evaluation & Learning officer in our South Sudan Country offfice.
The position is a  position with 40 h/week and only filled locally with contractual conditions of the South Sudan. An expatriation is not intended.

These are your responsibilities

Monitoring & Data Collection:
  • Develop and implement MEL plans in line with Reaching the Last Mile project goals and indicators.
  • Design and manage data collection tools and systems (surveys, questionnaires, interviews, etc.).
  • Ensure quality and timeliness of data collection, entry, and verification.
Evaluation:
  • Support the planning and execution of internal and external evaluations.
  • Participate in baseline, mid-term, and end-of-project assessments.
  • Contribute to the analysis and interpretation of evaluation findings.
Learning & Reporting:
  • Document lessons learned, best practices, and success stories in collaboration with donors and implementing organizations.
  • Facilitate learning sessions with NTD program teams and stakeholders.
  • Prepare MEL-related reports for donors and internal use. 
Capacity Building:       
  • Train and mentor Ministry of Health program staff and partners on MEL tools and methodologies.
  • Promote a culture of learning and evidence-based decision-making.
Accountability & Quality Assurance:
  • Support the development and implementation of feedback and accountability mechanisms.
  • Ensure MEL activities adhere to ethical standards and organizational policies.

These are your qualifications

  • Degree in community development, public health, social or development related studies.
  • Experience in health-related programmes is required; experience in NTD programme is preferrable.
  • Qualification and experience in MEL.
  • At least 6 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Solid understanding of project cycle management.
  • Literate in data analysis specifically of NTD surveys and assessments.
  • roven skills to present analysis in a digestible and accessible format considering different audiences.
  • Experience of working with international NGOs or international development organisations.
  • Sound knowledge of requirements of major international development organisations, such as the END Fund and USAID.
  • Experience in training and facilitating stakeholder learning.
  • Understanding and experience in supporting the role of communities and non-governmental sectors.
  • Skilled in handling various tasks simultaneously and consistently meeting tight deadlines
  • Effective and easy communication style, able to relate to a wide range of people and cultures.
  • Experience of working in an insecure environment and knowledge of implementation of Health and safety procedures.
  • Identification with Christian values an the mandate of CBM.
