Responsible for project development, implementation, coordination and partner management, MEAL activities, communication and knowledge management. The job holder plays an active role in the County level advocacy, alliance-building and networking; and works in close collaboration with local partners who are implementing various projects. The incumbent is required to apply basic concepts, acquire and understand programme quality standards of CBM-supported work so as to ensure successful and smooth implementation in close collaboration with implementing partner organizations, line government ministries, key stakeholders and target communities.

These are your responsibilities
Project development and approval
- Lead and facilitate project identification activities including project idea pipeline, partner capacity assessment, needs assessment/baselines/feasibility studies and mobilization of key stakeholders.
- Through three way working collaboration, take lead in development of concept notes, proposal writing, budget plan development.
- Provide induction to partners on project development templates, timelines and requirements.
- Closely collaborate with the Finance department to ensure that programmatic and financial aspects of project design and budget distribution is feasible and coherent.
- Ensure that the partner project staff are properly inducted on contractual obligations and requirements
- Take lead in periodic project performance reviews (finance and narrative) and timely submission of quality reports.
- Develop ToRs for field visits, take lead and liaise with implementing partner or respective authority for project documentation.
- Work closely with partners to ensure business needs/plans driven timely transfer of funds and optimum absorption of the same; budget reviews and alignment; and adjustment of activity plans to accelerate achievement of set targets.
- Follow-up on Partner Assessment findings, recommendations and Action Plans to ensure they are updated on quarterly basis.
- Keep track and ensure all project and partner system documentation is up-to-date
- In collaboration with project manager provide effective, innovative, and supportive supervision to ensure operational efficiencies and outcome for planned activities.
- Coordinate technical review and or project supportive supervision as maybe required in close collaboration with the Initiative Technical Advisors or line Ministry technical staff.
- Support partner compliance checks and evaluations using agreed CBM standard tools in order to identify capacity and gaps and ensure findings and recommendations are implemented and monitored.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with partners, government counterparts
- Facilitate learning and exchange within CBM International and with relevant external stakeholders and among partners.
- Support partners to develop and utilise appropriate M&E plans, monitoring tools, evaluation and learning frameworks.
- Ensure regular programmatic and technical project visits and review meetings are conducted
- Support documentation, analysis and reporting of project progress; maintain project data in accessible formats through regular and timely progress reporting by partners.
- Coordinate timely submission of agreed upon reports as per reporting schedule and protocol.
- Ensure relevant knowledge, project lessons learned and other learning are internalised, documented and shared with relevant CBM colleagues, partners and external stakeholders
- Responsible for delivering the CBM Brand, Media and Advocacy events to meet organizational priorities.
- Provides strategic and coordination support planning, administration, and relevant networking in the areas of disability inclusion.
- Collect quality stories of change and case studies to feed into programme and fundraising work including upload on CBM Connect webpage.
- Continuously supports brand and fundraising initiatives in content development and supporting field missions.
- Takes lead for information gathering and dissemination
- Carry out the role-specific responsibility to safeguard children and adults at risk (as guided by CBM’s relevant policies)
- Comply with all safety and health procedures and requirements at CBM and, at all times ensure your own safety and health and that of other persons who may be affected by your acts or omissions.
- Ensure that all activities conducted within scope of work or as an employee with CBM comply with the IT and data protection principles
These are your qualifications
- Relevant degree e.g. Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Health, Business Administration.
- Demonstrated experience of at least 2 years in the non-for-profit development sector,
- Working knowledge of systems strengthening approach towards achieving Social Development Goals.
- Ability and experience in communication for different purposes, to deliver both complex and simple material as desired by the target audience.
- Experience of participatory monitoring, and impact assessment with a specific focus on monitoring and evaluating outcomes of disability inclusive programmes.
- Demonstrated understanding of project cycle management
- Strong IT skills
- Ability to establish, sustain and strengthen collaborative initiatives.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Intercultural, gender and diversity competence.
- Excellent organizational skills attention to details and ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to adhere and commit to CBM’s Code of conduct, CBM Values and Safeguarding Policy
